Materials System & Keg's

๐ NEW ERA UPDATE โ Potion Kegs & Material Checks
We continue reviewing and improving some of the classic NEW ERA systems, removing outdated code, fixing incorrect behavior and making them safer and easier to use.
๐งช Potion Kegs Reworked
Potion Kegs have been completely reviewed and fixed.
The old system could behave incorrectly when working with large potion stacks, especially when reaching the keg storage limit.
๐ง New behavior
- โ Maximum capacity of 100 potions.
- โ Each keg can only contain one specific potion type.
- โ Different potion types cannot be mixed.
- โ The 100-potion limit is checked before anything is deposited.
- โ If the entire selected amount does not fit, the operation is completely rejected.
- โ Old and unnecessary internal functions have been removed.
- โ When completely emptied, the keg automatically returns to its original empty state.
- ๐จ Empty Potion Kegs can now be crafted with 100.0 Tinkering.
Example:
A keg contains 99 potions and you select a stack of 10. None of them will be deposited, preventing the keg from exceeding its 100-potion limit.
๐ฆ Material Check Rework
The Material Check system has also been completely redesigned.
These checks are intended to make storing and moving large quantities of resources easier without requiring players to carry enormous stacks of materials.
๐ New Capacity
Each check can store up to:
65,000 units
of a single material type.
โ Depositing Materials
Materials can now be deposited multiple times.
For example:
- 20,000 Iron Ingots
-
- 30,000 Iron Ingots
-
- 15,000 Iron Ingots
- = 65,000 Iron Ingots
Once the first material is deposited, the check becomes linked to that resource until it is completely emptied.
Different materials cannot be mixed inside the same check.
โ Withdrawing Materials
A new interface now allows you to enter the exact amount you want to withdraw.
You no longer need to empty the entire check.
For example, you may withdraw:
- 100 units
- 1,000 units
- 15,000 units
- or any other available amount.
๐ฅ๏ธ New Management Interface
Using a Material Check now opens a new interface showing:
- ๐ฆ Stored material.
- ๐ Current amount.
- ๐ Maximum capacity.
- ๐ข Available space.
- ๐ข Amount you want to manage.
- โ Deposit materials.
- โ Withdraw materials.

๐งฑ Allowed Materials
Material Checks only accept approved resources and crafting materials.
These currently include:
- Reagents.
- Ore.
- Ingots.
- Logs and boards.
- Hides and leather.
- Cloth and cloth bolts.
- Wool, cotton and thread.
- Gems.
- Arrows and bolts.
- Feathers and shafts.
- Empty bottles.
- Scrolls.
- Blank scrolls.
- Fish.
- Other resources specifically authorized by the system.
The list may be expanded in future updates as new materials are introduced to NEW ERA.
๐ Security & Exploit Protection
The system has been rebuilt with exploit prevention in mind.
New checks prevent:
- โ Exceeding the 65,000-unit limit.
- โ Mixing different materials.
- โ Depositing unsupported or special items.
- โ Using vendor items.
- โ Using blessed, cursed or special items.
- โ Manipulating resources from unauthorized containers or locations.
- โ Interacting with resources from excessive distances.
- โ Moving away after opening the interface to bypass distance checks.
- โ Potential duplication through incomplete transactions.
Whenever interaction with objects placed in the world is required, they must be within a maximum distance of 1 tile.
These changes continue the modernization of some of NEW ERA's older systems, keeping their original usefulness while adapting them to the current server.
